happy birthday to youyou live in a zoo
you look like a monkey
and you smell like one too!
have a good one mick :)
During the week we replaced th radiator in th vn, only to reaslise while putting it in that apart from having no filler cap, th traditional vn cooling system is completely friggin different to whats in my baby, being the series iii.
so we already had plans for saturday to chase up th radiator we actually needed and on top of that, some asshole decided th telstar didnt look quite shitty enough and it was his moralistic duty to annihalate the front end completely.
Lets say th car wasnt in th best shape afterwards. bonnet up in a 'v' front end pushed in flat, radiator was sitting about 4 inches in from where it should have been, not to mention two smashed headlights.
Most of saturday was spent chasing up a radiator for th vn. had no luck through th usual channels so scotti asked a mate who magically had a mate with th radiator we needed sitting in his backyard. mick came down to help us put it in. he painted the back brake drums on his vh last week and wanted to do the front drums n calipers. he already had the front struts out (hes driving around on the struts out of th wagon lol - which by th way is going to simms real soon. i asked if i could be there to take photos :( mick says he couldnt get rid of it to anyone else, this is th only way shell go. i guess for him its like giving away his girlfriend lmao) so he brought them and paint down and painted his calipers in th backyard while we were waitin for the radiator to arrive. After putting the new radiator in i think my babys ok but she still gets warm, though that may be contributed to the fact theres no actual coolant in it at th moment as we were in such a hurry to fill up th radiator before we thought of coolant. **fingers crossed thats what it is**
Speaking of cars, mick put his old springs back in the rear of his car as we were wondering what it would look like with his new rims. when he had the rear lowered, we thought the back was too low. the front looked better with the new rims, being larger than the simmons that were on the car the new rims filled his wheel arch nicely. so after a few hints he chucked th old ones back in and sent us a photo. what do you think now?
Mikael went to granny and pops for the weekend, both mum and cliff were working saturday so it was a toss up who he would go to work with saturday. pops won out. looks like they had a fantastic day, cliff sent some photos saturday night. i think cliff should be a part time photographer lol every one of them were set out so beautifully. heres some of them...

Right now it is really freaking cold and miserable, overcast and threatening to rain again like it has been on and off all day.
oh well im off to pick the boy up from school. ciao!
my advice - make sure the damn spray putty is completely dry before putting any paint on it.
then you need to apply the spray putty in thin repeated layers so as to build up the surface under the flaked paint to the height of the rest of the paint. make damn sure each layer is dry before adding the next as wet putty on dry putty will make th dry putty wet again and you want it to dry evenly, not end up with a patch of blue mud on your car that takes 5 days to harden properly.
apply a couple of thin coats of primer
once it looks evenly coloured, leave it for an hour or so if its a warm day (which it should be because you are an idiot if youre painting in under 25c weather) before adding a few coats of clear over the top to protect your new paint.
had a great day today! got a knock on th door this morning before i was even up n dressed, it was corey and his little mikhail, after rudely forgetting to offer coffee i rang mick to see what if he was still comin down like we planned friday night and he was already on his way down, so that was cool. after corey left we did some more on my car and he showed me a new wax product in a can hes found, brought my mags up so shiny! forgot to take a photo - d'oh
