cookies and miracle grow

This morning when we got up to get ready for school, i opened the front door to see that it was a beautiful sunny morning! I instantly regretted not setting the alarm for an earlier time so that we could have walked to school, because by the time we got ready we would have been late had we have walked so we took the car instead. On my way back from the school i decided that i would take athena for a walk when i got home, so when i got home i 'miracle growed' the pot plants out the front (its been a while) then gave kimba some dog biscuits out the back to distract her while i brought thena inside to put her lead on so kimba wouldnt see (i felt mean but apart from struggling with two excited puppy dogs trying to invent new knots with their two leads, there really was no other option)
When we got back home i was surprised to see that we had been gone nearly two hours. it was a really nice walk.
I cleaned the kitchen from the mornings tornado (me n kael getting ready for school) and then decided to make some chocolate biscuits, which by the way were awesome! me and kael had a couple each when he got home from school, he thought they were great and that we should have them for dinner. "that would be a good idea mum" hmm.. he wishes :)now im having a break before making dinner, scotti should be home from work real soon, yay!

randoms..

My sister and i met mum for morning tea the other weekend.
We thought mums oat slice was pretty good, so did the pigeons! This is Kyra feeding them out of her hand.
She talked me into it (me, with my fear of birds lol) and i must say it felt pretty damn ticklish!
I cacked myself the whole time i was crouched on the ground which my sister thought was hilarious.

Scott brought my attention to the dogs the other day, they were lying under the clothesline out the back and it looked pretty amusing. Kimba looked as though she was superimposed over the top of athena
i tried to be stealthy taking the photo out the kitchen window with my phone,
but do you think they knew i was there? lol

ill end this post with a picture of the card mikael wrote me for mothers day (with my mums help)
how adorable is his little drawing?!? (that he apparantly did all by himself)
i love it so much i am considering taking it into a tattoo artist and asking them to ink it on my ankle!
what do you think??
have a good day :)

ahem.

is it's not asleep
it's bound to be doing something destructive.
meet kimba.
she is our 'replacement cat' and has fitted in well to the family. everybody loves her.
everybody but me.
i mean, yes she is cute, yes she is... well... cute. but i dont think she is the right dog for our family. we picked her up in the middle of nowhere and nobody claimed her, so she became ours (or us hers as she likes to put it)
anyway, i know there are many people out there willing to give a cute dog a home (the ladies at my local bank were drooling over her when we first found her, going outside to pat her after seeing her through the glass while making a deposit on one on our 'walks') so i dont feel too guilty giving her to somebody who will appreciate her and put up with her crap.
blame athena, maybe im too used to having an obedient angel who understands sign language and strives to please, which makes this little white vigilante, quite a rude shock!
my garden, which athena used to leave alone, is now re-growing after we fenced it off from the dogs after they decided to destroy it almost completely, and they are now developing a new habit.
barking incessantly.
which i'm sure my neighbours appreciate totally.
it has got to go.

back from the beach

well we went to the beach. might i say it was really nice, the sunset that greeted us when we got there was awesome! the dogs had a great time and it was nice for me and scott to enjoy each others company without the boy around (rare occurance)
we must thank our little wanna be 4wd. the telstar performed quite good on, well to be truthful, shithouse roads. if it wasnt for the fact that we had this car we wouldnt be doing such bush bashing our other car sits quite low to the ground.
i must give credit to my dog athena, shes the big girl, she is so obedient, does everything she is told, i dont even need to speak to her she even knows hand gestures, i only wish our other dog kimba was so good. kimba does what kimba says. but she is adorable, i have to give her that.
kimba was a found object. middle of nowhere, little lost dog, dog gets a new home. you know the story. but we dont regret taking her in, our other dog seemed to take to the company after being an only dog for so long.
anyway, the beach was great, the drive there and back was nice, it even seems to have cooled down a little here back at home. 32c now apparantly.
i wonder if i can go water my garden now without the sa water police fining me?
signing out

heat. flat out heat.

well we sit here waiting for time to roll on so that we can venture outside. it is 42 on my thermometer in my garden, although the weather people, employed to tell us the temperature, lie and say it is 37 here today. i can vouch that it is not 37 here today. it is bloody hot! which is not nice weather in my opinion. funny, you would think growing up in the heat i would be used to it but i am not. it must be my blood..
so roll on 6:30, by which time it should have cooled down a little *fingers crossed* so that we can throw the dogs in the car, not literally, and drive to the beach.
we could drive 20 minutes and go to a beautiful white sandy beach, with lots of people. or we could drive in th other direction for half an hour and come to what seems to be an abandoned 4 wheeler track in the middle of nowhere. bush bash for 5 minutes and end up at a nice little stretch of coast, not exactly white and sandy, but theres patches of sand, and vegetation, and little sand hills, and water! the most important part!
i want to go swimming, even if it is with two boisterous dogs and a reluctant to get wet boyfriend, at least i will get out of this sweltering heat amongst this cracked earth that surrounds me.
roll on 6:30.
