washed both cars on th weekend, they both look sik.
mick came down with th buffer from his work and went over the vl on saturday, i must say it looks like a completely different car now, amazing what a polish can do.
of course the fact that he was a car detailer helps lol
fixed my vn on th weekend. i probably havent mentioned (as i havent mentioned anything lately) that it died last weekend. at 7 o clock at night. after a days fishing. at port gawler. which left us trying to figure out how to fix it on th side of th road, with no tools, no torch and no damn idea.
ended up being th heater hose on th back of th block. of course. it must have felt left out from when th front one caused a fuss and had to be replaced a couple of weeks ago.
so basically we had no way of getting her home without towing her. tried driving her first but the temperature kept shooting up. so rather than fuck around topping up levels and driving another 100 metres down the road before having to stop again we got mick to bring us back home to get th tow ropes. damn lucky he met us there that day or else we really would have been screwed.
oh and why is it that i have a valid raa membership card all year and my car never breaks down, yet now that my cards been expired for 3 weeks....
guess im gonna have to scrape up th cash for raa, its definately good for peace of mind.
speaking of raa, today i met an angel with an raa card! the thermo fan in th vn isnt coming on when it should, so we have hooked up a switch so that we can turn it on manually when the car is sitting at th lights and such. aaanyway.. me being th stupid deaf bitch that i am, forgot that th thermo fan was on, and when i got out th car i didnt hear it running. so i went into th shopping center to get a few things, came out about 15 20 minutes later and tried to start my car but my battery was dead! typical.
so i waited, hoping it might build up enough charge to start, no luck with that.
so i sized up my position, th angle i would have to take to get out th parking space, th incline of th road i had to push it up, and th length of th runway at my disposal and flat out figured a push start wasnt possible, next option was to harass th poor bastards walking past me for jumper leads, which was also unsuccessful.
until
one of th ladys i asked jumper leads for, came back about 3 minutes after asking her and offered to use her raa card for me, at first i said "no, you dont have to do that, youll be waiting ages!" to which she said, "its ok, shopping can wait, its not that important, besides youll be stuck otherwise"
i couldnt believe how nice this stranger was being, so i tried to get one of my friends (one of very few who actually live around here) to come and help, but he was having car trouble of his own, so i gratefully accepted th offer of th raa.
she said to me to pretend to be her neice so it was covered but when th guy got there i think he could tell what was really going on and i dont think he minded at all :) it makes you remember there are some really nice people out there :)

so. nothing else to report. or i cant think of anything else to report as my stupid brain is filled with car crap, cooling systems, thermofans, switches that get too hot, bad earths that shock me everytime i get out, bad vl taillights, vls cracked windscreen, v8 needs painting, vl does too. i dont even have a glovebox. well i do but it is inside th house. yaay!
i need a holiday.
or an all in one mechanic/spray painter/panel beater/car detailer.
