10 reasons why San Andreas is better than any other GTA game

#1. Better writers / storyline.

#2. Whole game is like a cross between a movie and a really involved free roaming environment. Everything you can see, you can access. There are no invisible walls like other (inferior) games.
#3. You have at least 4 different jump actions, thus allowing you to jump fences, climb on top of cars and best of all, climb on top of buildings, which definately makes the environment much more 3 dimensional.
#4. You can swim.
#5. The map is huge in comparison to previous GTA games, it's made up of 6 (or 5 depending who you ask) large parts, Los Santos city, the hills above LS, The countryside under SF, the city of San Fierro, The Desert and Los Venturas. Each city being rather individual with its unique pedestrians, buildings, cars and layout, making it a really fun landscape to explore. Especially with a pushbike...which brings me to..
#6. You can ride a pushbike! Like, seriously, sounds lame but it really isnt. You have a fast mode of transport, that if you upgrade your skills enough, you can clear fences on!#7. To get health you go to a pizza or burger joint, or a hotdog stand. Like come on! you cant fail there. Sure beats looking for some shitty flashing heart icon laying on the footpath somewhere.

#8. Upgrades such as stamina, lung capacity and muscle, as well as flying, driving and bike skills.#9. The pedestrians almost have personality. Some of them run when they hear gunshots, some of them duck. Some hit you back when you punch them, others will just hightail it up the road. Certain pedestrians are more likely to carry weapons and the better dressed people wearing jewellery tend to carry more cash. Oh and i just have to mention the Elvis impersonators in Los Venturas.#10. The massively varied soundtrack. AMAZING.

here are the photos of the new lounge room.

motivation isn't mine..

scott has once again proven what a tornado he can be when he puts his mind to it, he is attempting to re-arrange the loungeroom.
i say "attempting" because it isnt completed yet, it is still in progress (in other words, the furniture is not where it is supposed to be and there is shit absolutely everywhere)
the t.v is on the complete other side of the room, the couch is sitting in the middle of the floor, the dining table has yet to move to where the t.v was (apparantly)
the only thing that hasnt been moved is lo and behold, my computer desk which i am sitting at, and even my desk isnt sacred as ive just been asked "do you think you could power off your computer soon?.."
oh well. at least its a change.
ill update with a photo when its done..

wasted weekends

well, another weekend over and nothing much accomplished..
the VN ran out of rego last week, and we thought since we're buying the suburu next month and its school holidays right at this point (so i dont need a car) we wouldnt re-register the VN yet. Theres a few things we want to do to it and since we will have 3 driveable cars and 2 drivers liscences, we might as well use this opportunity to do the things we've been putting off because it was needed as a day to day car and alot of the things we want to do require "off road time" (and not in a four wheel drive sense.)So my baby's sitting under the carport unable to drive any further than the footpath at the end of my driveway..
Then we realised friday, that the telstar also ran out of rego thursday night and not having the spare cash lying around, we couldnt afford to register that, so its also sitting unable to leave the driveway, so scott is having to train it to work this week (at least until payday) and our weekend was spent, well, pretty much here.
Me and the boy are going to walk to see one of his friends tomorrow while Scotts at work, so he can 'play' for a while and i'll spend the time catching up with his mum, who's recently moved to victoria, so we dont see them often anymore.
so its not a big drama that theres no car at the moment, although i feel sorry for scotti having to catch the train at some ridiculous hour in the mornings, the only other drama is being stuck here. if only i wasnt train phobic lol.
anyway i should go, still got a couple of things to do, the boy isnt in bed yet either! so signing off..nice colours in that ^ photo

grrrrr

That cat came back this morning.
I woke up to the dogs going apeshit in the loungeroom, i let them sleep inside last night - its so cold.. so i looked out the window expecting to see the postie or something, my landlord even (which wouldnt have been good. his words "i dont care if you have 5 dogs, just not inside.."
he says they make the house smell. pfft. i clean. nobody has ever complained to me that my house smelt)
but nothing or noone was there. or so it seemed.
about 20 minutes later, after putting the dogs out with their breakfast and giving the boy his breakfast, there was a scratching at the door.
well as soon as it saw me that was it, it was quite vocal demanding i repeat yeaterdays performance.sorry buddy. i dont buy catfood. it was honest to god leftovers..
so i ignore it hoping it will go away.
about an hour later i realise i havent heard it meowing at the door for a while and think,
'brilliant. problem solvered'
until i open my bedroom door to get some washing together and the bastards gotten in my bedroom window and is sleeping on my bed.
add to which i dont think its a bastard, i think its a bitch, as ive just noticed while picking it up to put it back outside it feels really really fat....
in a non fat cat kind of way....

a furry visitor

i used to have a cat.
his name was lewis. he was a beautiful cat and i dont say that lightly. he had no bad habits, didnt poo inside, didnt tear up the furniture, didnt seem to shed much fur, he had a lovely temperment, put up with almost anything the boy dished out to him, and he loved a cuddle, loved to sit on your lap or next to you and just sleep. he was a loving little friend.
lewis didnt come home one day. im not sure what happened to him. i think i'd rather not know, i just imagine he found a nice old lady who took him in or something. and since then i decided i didnt want another cat. again.

I havent really seen any cats in the neighborhood since lewis went away, the lady across the road has a couple but they keep in their yard (like they should) so you dont really see them.
but then today while doing housework i noticed something small run away from the vehrandah when i walked past the front door, so i looked out the front curtains and about to lay down under my window was a cat! just making itself at home, you know. so i thought bugger it, and got lewises left over cat food out of the cupboard under the sink.
(ive been keeping it in case he comes back -its only been like, 6 months)
I put some in a bowl and rattled the biscuits, it pricked its ears up, so i called it. "puss puss..."
it was a bit skittish at first but when i tore open the 'whiskas singles' packet, the smell of fish must have been too much for it and it loudly vocalised that yes, it did want the food, and could i kindly open the door as it couldnt figure out how to.
so i obliged and slipped the bowl out onto the vehrandah.
it dug straight in and i went back inside and got a smoke and the rubbish bag to take to the outside bin, along with the smelly singles wrapper. after id done that i sat on the vehrandah with the cat. it rubbed itself against me purring while i smoked and stroked it.
after i'd finished my smoke, me and the boy went for a walk to the shop to get a drink each, iced coffee for me, chocolate milk for him, and when we got back the cat was gone.
i must admit, it was nice to pat a cat again,
but i still dont want one
.
*by the way -school holidays for next two weeks, hurray*

brrr hand me a rug..

well summer is well and truly gone. it is pretty cold at the moment. i think our turtle is going to go into hibernation soon, as he is slowing down now. i went out to the pond to feed him today and he was very sluggish and uncoordinated. the water was pretty cold too. compared to a month ago when it was warm, he was so agressive and fast at feeding times, and ate so much!
i wish i could go into hibernation.

my birthdays coming up, and again im not sure if i should bother organising anything because in the past nobodys bothered to come to whatever i organised,
so i think this year we'll go camping, rain and all,
and im not going to expect anyone else to come, im not going to expect to have a good time, im just going to make it my main mission to get slaughtered. if anybody else ends up coming along to get drunk with me then that will just be an added bonus!

and on a sad note, i just heard on the news about some poor woman whose doctor gave her an "antibiotic" after a minor surgery at an australian hospital and she had 2 heart attacks because of it.
apparantly australias medical system is full of bungled mistakes and potential malpractice suits,
"going to shit" in other words.
now this is why i fear hospitals and doctors.
i dont pay enough for my medical care to know that my doctor will give a shit about where i end up in 12 months, 20 years,
im just a number, an operation, a cheque.
and theres millions of us.thus i avoid the doctor by all means necessary.

Timmy!! Git in thar n do yer homework!!

i am not too impressed with my son. and no he is not called timmy.
now i am sure there are many parents out there who will agree with me, (and there are sure to be a heap who dont as well, there always is)
i know my son is smarter than he is acting right now.
i have watched my boy grow, and learn, and open his eyes with wonder and naivety at all the amazing things around him,
since he was so very young. he was one of those toddlers who had to explore, hated being in his pram, always had to touch and feel and ultimately taste, whatever was within reach and if it wasnt, he would put himself within reach.
At the age of 3 he was learning the planets in the solar system and could name them when asked, on his first day of kindy, he already knew how to draw cars and write his name, mum, scott, dog. he could count to 100 on his first day of school and was starting to realise how to read by stringing letter sounds together to make words, (although not always sucessfully) all this
because i took an active role in his learning
and yes, hes only 5, but to see how he is behaving now at school makes me a little sad. maybe i have failed on the
discipline side of things.
Every Day at bell time this week his teacher has looked around me, waiting paitently at the door of the classroom, to see what other parents are waiting (my stomach sinks into my ankles when she does that) and one by one dismisses the other kids as their parents arrive, leaving me til last, with said sunken stomach, to 'have a talk'.
he just isnt paying attention in class, isnt completing the (meagre amount of) work he is set and is more focused on whatever he has set in his head he wants to do, rather than doing what he is asked like everybody else. his attention span is that of a..
well.. he quite reminds me of manny from 'over the hedge'. which although it is amusing at times, is quite exhausting 24 hours 7 days.
buuuut ill cope. im thinking of taking all products with flavour enhancer 621 out of his diet again. it worked the last time. but i mean, do you know how hard it is to find products that
dont contain flavour enhancer 621?
check that packet of twisties youre eating...

my life right at this moment would be perfect with

The Rum. Not the Bear.

ahem.

is it's not asleep
it's bound to be doing something destructive.
meet kimba.
she is our 'replacement cat' and has fitted in well to the family. everybody loves her.
everybody but me.
i mean, yes she is cute, yes she is... well... cute. but i dont think she is the right dog for our family. we picked her up in the middle of nowhere and nobody claimed her, so she became ours (or us hers as she likes to put it)
anyway, i know there are many people out there willing to give a cute dog a home (the ladies at my local bank were drooling over her when we first found her, going outside to pat her after seeing her through the glass while making a deposit on one on our 'walks') so i dont feel too guilty giving her to somebody who will appreciate her and put up with her crap.
blame athena, maybe im too used to having an obedient angel who understands sign language and strives to please, which makes this little white vigilante, quite a rude shock!
my garden, which athena used to leave alone, is now re-growing after we fenced it off from the dogs after they decided to destroy it almost completely, and they are now developing a new habit.
barking incessantly.
which i'm sure my neighbours appreciate totally.
it has got to go.

boost bars and google earth

friday night in this house:
im eating a boost bar (with nuts) and looking at google earth, scotti's playing san andreas and the boys asleep.
thrilling.
amazing places to go swimming along this coast, if you arent scarent of sharks that is!

P.S Scotti got more work, good pay but a bit different from the normal 9 to 5.
12 hour days, 4 days a week.
upside of this, at least we get 3 day weekends :)

tiger trial

Heres another attempt using paint.I really like this picture, it has a lot of personality,
which i think is because it originally was a photo
(not my photo)it doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out what i did, using 'pick colour' and the brush function. fill is quite useful also. it was quite easy and fun and wasted a good 2 hours of my existance, at least.
but anyway, i was really happy with how it turned out :)

windows paint

i am starting to see the merit in this paint program that has been on my computer forever, yet has not been utilised to its full potential, thus turning me off of even trying to produce something that doesnt look like it came from the mind of a 5 year old.
I NEVER KNEW IT HAD A BRUSH FUNCTION.
yes. i know. how could i have missed that, its in the same toolbar as everything else, i have experimented with everything else, how could i have possibly missed the brush. well i did.
i have been using the pissy excuse for a 'pencil' and have been wondering why i couldnt make the line thicker.
anyway. life is better now that i know paint has a brush function, now i can sleep at night knowing that its worth experimenting with this digital art thing (lmao) and im not limited to scrawly little black lines and unsucessful 'fill' operations.

tomatoes and other things

it is a beautiful day today, sunny and warm, i hope all autumn will be like this but unfortunately i doubt it. i have something coming up in my 'compost pot plant' (a huge huge pot with soil in it which i dumped a heap of bad avocadoes and a couple of soft tomatoes into a while back) which i think might be tomato plants, im not sure they'll survive the winter, but oh well. we have been doing some little things on the cars the last few days, tyres for the telstar and little superficial things for the vn. scotts looking for another job as well at the moment which kinda sucks but its good to get stuff done around the house while he is home.
havent got much else to say except im glad i havent sat inside all day today :)

Reloaded

We just started another game of san andreas tonight, have only done the first mission (because we had to, my idiot friend walked into the marker that was in front of the door instead of jumping over the balcony rail to get around it lmao) and already we have $17849, as well as multiple grenades, tech 9 's, handguns, sawnoffs and a police baton, just from running around killing drug dealers and purple gangsters while living off hotdogs at verona beach.
i have good vibes about this one. although im not looking forward to the stupid plane mission for zero. EVERY time we get up to that bit we end up having to call our mate mick to complete it for us. hes quite good at that mission. bastard. but all this aside i think we will finally get the well deserved 100% we have been striving for, for about 4 years and 7 or 8 "completed" games.
aaaaanyway.
bitch session of the week: my internet is spazzing out, everything is loading (if it loads at all) so frigging slow it is driving me insane

tragic

i am sitting here in my loungeroom, it is 2:28pm and i have just been subjected to the most ridiculous thing i have ever seen in my life.
Bindi Irwin and her 'croc dancers' on my tv.
whats the bet that when this poor girl grows up, shes going to change her name and hide out in the bahamas.
i'm almost lost for words (which defeats the purpose of coming here to write about it) i have nothing personal against bindi irwin but i think her mother needs to think about what shes doing to her daughter.
omg my mind is blank. thats it.
