Get Over It

i just neglected my housework for a couple of hours and watched sevens midday movie "Get Over It" instead.it wasnt a complete waste of time. it was a soppy love flick aimed at teen audiences i think (of which i am most definately not) but i found the whole movie pretty damn funny. full of little jokes and cutscenes (some of which, blink and youll miss something)
the part where the main character 'kelly' (kirsten dunst) is holding a crossbow she thinks is a prop aimed at 'burke' (ben foster) whos saying, "kelly, you shouldnt play with that" then theres this cute little stand-off before she pulls the trigger, only to go into complete shock when she shoots him in the arm.
then theyre in the ambulance and she feels terrible, he reassures her with "its ok, its not that bad is it?" and she looks at it and then passes out in the ambulance. might not sound so funny now in writing, but it was at the time when i was watching it lolall in all if youre busy or have stuff to do, maybe dont bother watching the start or it might suck you in (like it did to me) but if you have nothing to do and it happens to be your midday movie, dont change the channel for oprah or whatever cos it was nowhere near as bad as '28 days'....

cookies and miracle grow

This morning when we got up to get ready for school, i opened the front door to see that it was a beautiful sunny morning! I instantly regretted not setting the alarm for an earlier time so that we could have walked to school, because by the time we got ready we would have been late had we have walked so we took the car instead. On my way back from the school i decided that i would take athena for a walk when i got home, so when i got home i 'miracle growed' the pot plants out the front (its been a while) then gave kimba some dog biscuits out the back to distract her while i brought thena inside to put her lead on so kimba wouldnt see (i felt mean but apart from struggling with two excited puppy dogs trying to invent new knots with their two leads, there really was no other option)
When we got back home i was surprised to see that we had been gone nearly two hours. it was a really nice walk.
I cleaned the kitchen from the mornings tornado (me n kael getting ready for school) and then decided to make some chocolate biscuits, which by the way were awesome! me and kael had a couple each when he got home from school, he thought they were great and that we should have them for dinner. "that would be a good idea mum" hmm.. he wishes :)now im having a break before making dinner, scotti should be home from work real soon, yay!

randoms..

well it seems the sunny days are definately gone for the year, it is absolutely freezing today.
im sitting inside in front of my heater because its too unbearable to go outside, i even let the dogs inside its that cold, they are sleeping on the floor :)
mikaels at school, scottis at work and i have already finished my housework for the day (amazing) so im quite at a loss as to what to do with the rest of my day..

ive been ringing up places to get quotes on parts for my hz this morning, im quite surprised that alot of the parts i need are still sold brand new, and cheaper than i had imagined:
monaro flutes - $49 each OR $120 for the pair on ebay
window seals, outer - $24 each, inner - $22 each OR $99 all 4 (enough for 2 doors) on ebay
door rubbers - $48 each
boot rubber - $46
ignition barrell, door locks and boot lock in a set - $130 OR $99 on ebay

these are some of the prices, at least this shows that by looking around i should get a good price on each item. i am looking forward to starting this project but i know its going to be alot of work.
and dont worry the panel van hasnt been forgotten, the sedans closer to completion so we figure get it finished first. and no more project cars!!! (at least until these two are done lol)
HOLDEN HJ JX HZ WB GTS MONARO GUARD FLUTES

im getting hungry. no fair. who wants to make me lunch... kate?...
lol

anyway, im out to go see what food stuffs are in the cupboard that take my fancy (and thats simple n quick to prepare because i so cant be bothered making anything complicated)
have a good day :)

wow i just realised this is my 50th post on this blog..

throwing a line in

just got back home about half an hour ago, got a call from a mate about 9 asking if we'd like to meet him as he was out fishing, so us not having a kid for the weekend and nothing much to do decided we would. didnt catch fuck all but it ended up being a good night.
rained a heap, and was cold and windy, but we found a spot between the mangroves where it was still and it was all good :)
mick caught a few little bream, nothing big enough to brag about, and i caught a little bream that got off my line a metre from the shoreline, and a tree.
scott got a cold lol

cars, cars and job interviews

well. we have had a busy couple of days i can tell you that :)
job interviews, moving cars. (scott got a job friday by the way)
today we did some running around for some parts and helped a mate move his new nissan 50th anniversary 300ZX (nice) that he just bought from its old house to his house, tried to suss out why it wouldnt start (he got it pretty cheap) scott couldnt figure it out so we came home and started sorting the shed to get a phone call from said mate, car wouldnt start cos one wire was broken.
its going now. and our mate is smiling fucken ear to ear :)
so its been a busy, but amazing couple of days.
my new car is here under my carport now, the guy im buying it off had to make room for his new 300ZX ;)
off to eat dinner...one of my black arum lilys. (with heritage daffodils and *what i thought was* milkweed)
theyre coming up now because its winter.. soon therell be flowers

our afternoon out

yesterday scott had job interviews and job network inductions, the first was at wingfield and the last in the city, so you can imagine the driving we did!
After the city interview, we still had a couple of hours to kill before we had to pick mikael up from school so we went to the botanical gardens for a quick walk.
i always love going into the gardens, it really is the most amazing place, i could easily spend all day there! while we were there we made sure we stopped by the amazon waterlily glasshouse. Scott worked for the company that did prep work for the site last year and he wanted to see what it looked like as a completed project, it was so beautiful, i forgot to take a photo of the actual building but i took plenty of the plants (until my phone battery died) so you can see parts of it in the photos but you cant really get the gist of it. it was huge
Heres some pictures of our day out :)

OMFG!!

I cant believe it, I am in shock..
my boyfriend just shook hands with a mate over my absolute dream car!
Since i was 11 years old, i always wanted a Holden Monaro, i didnt care that they were thirsty tanks, i always admired how the car sat to the ground, square and proud, its lines and its profile.similar to ^ pictured above
And as i got older i watched their prices go up, and up, and i resigned myself to the fact that i would never own one.
Yet now, a friend of ours is selling a mock up 4 door with a fully worked 8 in it for $2000. ive heard this car. it is fucking nuts.
Us having no income at the moment, i again sighed with resignation knowing this car would slip through my fingers yet again, yet after this guy saw how much we loved the car, offered for us to pay it off! which i couldnt believe. it is such a generous offer, we tried to refuse but he just asked us why, so we explained that we wouldnt want to take advantage of his genorosity, and not even knowing when the next paycheck would be we didnt even know when we could make the first payment, but he is willing to negotiate something that suits us all so i am totally in shock, firstly as to how generous our friend is, but also to the fact that OMG! im getting a monaro! ..mock up..

AbiWord 2.6

Wow! i found this earlier..i must say i really like it!

Scott asked me to type up his resume for him as his job network agent kept fucking it up *pardon the french* which i was happy to do, but i didnt have Microsoft Word on my computer, which is the program i used at school and the only word program ive ever used from memory
aaanyway..
so after realising that Microsoft Word is not available as a free download, i started looking for a word program download, found AbiWord, looked at some screen shots and thought
great! ill take it!

after using it, there are 3 things ill mention..
#1. it doesn't have an underline function! what a tragedy..
#2. my dictionary doesn't work. but i like to think i can spell lol
#3. when saving documents, i like to select under 'save as type' microsoft word (.doc) as (hopefully) this means i can take my documents to computers that dont have AbiWord and be able to print them anyway

randoms..

My sister and i met mum for morning tea the other weekend.
We thought mums oat slice was pretty good, so did the pigeons! This is Kyra feeding them out of her hand.
She talked me into it (me, with my fear of birds lol) and i must say it felt pretty damn ticklish!
I cacked myself the whole time i was crouched on the ground which my sister thought was hilarious.

Scott brought my attention to the dogs the other day, they were lying under the clothesline out the back and it looked pretty amusing. Kimba looked as though she was superimposed over the top of athena
i tried to be stealthy taking the photo out the kitchen window with my phone,
but do you think they knew i was there? lol

ill end this post with a picture of the card mikael wrote me for mothers day (with my mums help)
how adorable is his little drawing?!? (that he apparantly did all by himself)
i love it so much i am considering taking it into a tattoo artist and asking them to ink it on my ankle!
what do you think??
have a good day :)

meez lmao

hmm. this is what 2 hours of wasting time on the internet looks like
Meez 3D avatar avatars games
firstly, i do find the whole idea of this meez crap absolutely hilarious, and there is no way i would ever a in million years give them my credit card details so i can get meez money to buy meez clothes for an animated picture. (really. its true, check for yourself if you dont believe it)
and secondly, i didnt willingly waste my precious conscious moments, before i knew it 2 hours had passed.
thats my excuse and im sticking to it lol

i feel like chicken tonight, like chicken tonight!

we had fish and chips for dinner tonight.
I really could not be fluffed preparing / cooking / baking / roasting / frying / steaming / farming anything tonight lol so fish and chips it was. some other lady can cook dinner!
sitting down now having a bundy (praise the lord lol) and relaxing for a while before i get up to do the washing up. mikaels in the bath and scotts watching ramsays nightmares on t.v. pretty quiet here atm. although quiet it definately was not half an hour ago, when mikael had triple m absolutely blaring from his little stereo, which was ok until the predictable nickleback came on, thats when i went in and turned it down lmao

waste of space?

here it is 2pm and i have (unwittingly) succeeded in wasting the whole day AGAIN.
I need a new hobby. something to take up my time when mikaels at school so i dont feel so useless. its like right now at this point, my whole reason for existance is to serve my little monster. i need something else so i dont feel like such a worthless member of society.
my sister suggested me taking on charity work for uniting care wesley like shes doing at the moment, which sounds ok, i guess ill feel usefull at least. i think i have a slight fear of meeting new people, if you had said this to me a year ago i would have laughed so hard, i think i must be getting old, maybe confidence diminishes with age. god help me by the time im 40 if this is the case!
If only i could find something where im needed between the hours of 9:30am and 2:30pm and whatever it is it doesnt require sitting in the same position for 5 hours a day because that would be perfect for me!
oh well, ill keep my options and my eyes open, hopefully ill find something.

My head hurts
when you look at me
Do you see it?

Jeepers Creepers 2

I had the privilege (debateable lmao) of watching the movie jeepers creepers 2 last night on t.v
Im not sure if it was the fact i'd had a few drinks, or the fact that it was after midnight and i was sleep deprived, but i found the whole movie surprisingly amusing,
actually, strike amusing, really goddamn funny :)

I'm not sure if Francis Ford Coppola intended jeepers creepers to be a comedy, but i sure got a few decent laughs out of it, as did my mate who watched it with me.
The plot revolved around a school bus full of high school kids taking on some kind of bat demon after getting stranded on a country road, but who really end up getting taken out one by one to be used as some kind of body part recyclers scam (there were survivors, unfortunately)

All in all, dont bother renting it (or use up your bandwith allowance downloading it)
but if it comes on at 1 in the morning and youre enebriated in some way, maybe watch it,
you might get a laugh.
2 stars
