radiators brake calipers and moronic friday afternoon drivers...

gawd all my posts lately seem to be 'on the weekend...' and this is another one lol
friday night was a pretty good sign that our weekend was going to be taken up with cars again.

During the week we replaced th radiator in th vn, only to reaslise while putting it in that apart from having no filler cap, th traditional vn cooling system is completely friggin different to whats in my baby, being the series iii. so we already had plans for saturday to chase up th radiator we actually needed and on top of that, some asshole decided th telstar didnt look quite shitty enough and it was his moralistic duty to annihalate the front end completely.

Scott was sitting at th lights friday afternoon on his way home from work, minding his own business, the light went green and th moron in front decided that th middle lane that he was in wasnt moving fast enough, so he slammed his red fairlane into reverse, backed up 4 metres (scott was 3 metres behind him) shakes his head at the ensuring collision and takes off into the left lane, off off n away. hopefully pissing himself in th process.
Lets say th car wasnt in th best shape afterwards. bonnet up in a 'v' front end pushed in flat, radiator was sitting about 4 inches in from where it should have been, not to mention two smashed headlights.
$50 and two hours later car was fixed (lucky th man is so good with metal) but that really is not the point. if youre reading this asshole i hope your taillights are smashed and you cant open your boot. fucker.

Most of saturday was spent chasing up a radiator for th vn. had no luck through th usual channels so scotti asked a mate who magically had a mate with th radiator we needed sitting in his backyard. mick came down to help us put it in. he painted the back brake drums on his vh last week and wanted to do the front drums n calipers. he already had the front struts out (hes driving around on the struts out of th wagon lol - which by th way is going to simms real soon. i asked if i could be there to take photos :( mick says he couldnt get rid of it to anyone else, this is th only way shell go. i guess for him its like giving away his girlfriend lmao) so he brought them and paint down and painted his calipers in th backyard while we were waitin for the radiator to arrive. After putting the new radiator in i think my babys ok but she still gets warm, though that may be contributed to the fact theres no actual coolant in it at th moment as we were in such a hurry to fill up th radiator before we thought of coolant. **fingers crossed thats what it is**

what mick did last week^

Sunday was spent chillin. Yes you heard right, we did pretty much nothing.
kyra n phil dropped in to see if we knew anyone looking to buy a sub so we rang mick n he came down to have a look at it. in th arvo mum n cliff dropped in which was unexpected, to say the least. must be the most cars weve had parked here in a while. apart from ours lmao
sunday dinner was chinese, how traditional :D and we went to bed quite early for once. (early being 11:30pm)

so that was our weekend. last week of school term this week, holidays again, im thinking of getting th boy looked after so i can paint his room but i am yet undecided. it needs painting but i guess the weather plays a big part in that since our heating system is pretty much non existant!
apart from that i have plans to get back into my walking again, athena has been getting restless and i must admit i have toobut i have just been so busy. hopefully things can slow down a bit now and that wont be so much a problem :D
anyway signing off again, off to make a cuppa tea.
oh and my new jacket^^ stoked.
